The Last HNT
Checking to make sure it’s still all there. WHEW, it is.
Because last night it wasn’t.
I got up in the middle of the night and it was gone. All of it. And I wasn’t dreaming. Or having a nightmare. It was really gone.
My blog had disappeared.
I guess it was something with my hosting company or something, but there was only an “Install Wordpress” page. I was afraid to push the install button for fear it would over-write four years of material.
So, I waited. And it came back.
So, if you happened by the blog during that time, I’m still here. I haven’t closed shop early. I have still a few more days and a few more posts.
Including this last HNT.
Keeping in the spirit, it’s still half. But half doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not NSFW. (Click the pic).

Tony – I’ve been putting off writing this response until today because it would mean that you are really going. I guess I’ve been in denial about your leaving, but your reasons are admirable, and no one who is so beloved ever leaves for good. Your spirit, and what you have done with your blog, will live on in all of your readers and admirers. You have left quite a litany – one that is unlikely to ever be replaced or replicated – and you can be sure that there will be future readers who stumble happily upon it and find grace in your words as I and so many others have done. You have said that this is only one end, and you will go on in some way – maybe on another site, maybe in another form – and I will trust that you will keep us apprised of that when it happens. Thank you for providing us with a glimpse of your life, for giving us all a hint of what is possible when good people are genuine and honest, and for staying true to yourself and your moral compass. It’s been quite a journey, and I’m glad to have been part of it in some small way. This is your time to move on and make the most of the moment. We honor you, we will miss you, and we wish you the best. Personally, there will be a void knowing you won’t be there on a daily basis, in the same shortcut link where I’ve found you these past years, but I’ll bear it knowing you are somewhere doing what is best for you, living and loving with your Gram and the attorney, and I’ll be glad that I had the chance to know you, even in this brief and sometimes-distant way.
