Sounds like a beautiful day together! Perhaps its a good thing you weren't there for the snapshot of the inseam measurement! Books really are the food of our souls, so I'm happy there are things like Amazon and the Borders Rewards program...to keep them somewhat affordable to us! Of course, there's always your local library, too!

We don't eat out much, being restaurant workers, but we tend to split our time together between comfortable silences and excessive chatter.

sounds like a great day. About to hit six cities (counting Atlanta/Athens and Baton Rouge/New Orleans as one city each, not two) before May 12 and could use a day like that. Wish my travels were taking me closer to TN. Have a great end of the week and weekend.

My guy & I are often quiet while eating out, the funniest thing is that we both reach for our drinks to drink at the same time. It's been like this ever since we've been together.

Not feeling the need to fill every silence with banal conversation is a wonderful place to be. The nearness of a lover is enough to sustain some people.

I enjoyed the idea of taking pictures without a camera and with your words setting up the shot.
Thanks.

"...and it was all meat, baby." Spoken like a true carnivore! I feel the same way about good BBQ ribs.
Silence can indeed be golden. Spiritual even. Speculation on circumstances surrounding the observed couple's silence are myriad. Argument? Grief? Deaf? Many people feel the need to fill a silence with comment no matter how trivial. Not making eye contact is more telling as far as I'm concerned.

Reminds me of a commercial of a couple shoe shopping. The woman shows her man four pair of black high heeled shoes to ask his opinion and preference. They are different but he sees them as identical.
