I liked giving orders to eight fit guys and keeping up a rhythm, but the two mile run to the boathouse killed me. So don't let the attorney get you to run by saying it will be a good way to get to the 'shell'. Have fun with the exercise and the communion with each other and the water. My husband even bought a singles shell and learned but hasn't really kept up with it. You're gonna love it! We have very good friends that are very serious rowers and compete in the Head of the Charles and other international regattas at the masters level. When you two get good you can buy a double and go by yourselves and compete that way. I know you guys will just be awesome at it. You could buy a concept 2 or higher erg for your house. Maybe the attorney already has one. You are just going to love rowing! Besides, it gets you out on the water and is so peaceful. Sigh.
