‘do you wanna be on top?’ tyra whispers somewhat seductively. im not buying it. i want more passion! in my head it’s a much more manly voice in my ear. growling even. my answer is sure. definitely. im versatile. and though i prefer to be on the bottom. i like to wear my top hat every once in a while. it just needs some dusting off. take that however you will.

i never watched americas next top model. i thought it ridiculous. and always cringed slightly when hearing anyone was going to waste an hour watching the tripe. these women on television. their high drama while wearing high fashion is apparently high on the ratings. and on dvrs. so who i am to pass judgement. i watch more than a fair share of television.

it is even on now. though currently paused. i have vegetarian chili and rice on the stove. and this was ‘due’ last night so large tony is probably cross with me. this bad boy needs a spanking. but some people use music as a background. others those humming machines. or they go to cafes and fill their senses with their sights and sounds. something to fill the empty spaces. to be there when thoughts are not. or guide what thoughts are there. television is my white noise. silence and classical music are nice too.

but the other day a certain someone turned on americas next top model. and i kept watching after he left. though his scent lingered in my room. in the sheets. and odd enough in enkidu. i could smell him as i scratched behind her ears. and smiled.

and watched it until michele came up to watch an awesome movie with me. stardust! amazing. and when i woke up the next morning and turned on the television americas next top model was on. and it was this neat episode where they had 3 minutes in a thrift store to pick out their style. and one in particular caught my eye. an interesting girl from new york city whose name slips my weed befuddled mind but she had a nose ring. that i do recall. and i did gathered my laundry. as they scampered here. and there grabbing clothing off the racks. and i didn’t head to the laundromat until after they finished their surprise runway catwalk to auction off their distinct style selection. and it was still on. a couple episodes later as i folded my dry clothes. and cleaned my room. i couldn’t turn it off. and i have been watching this bloody show for 24 hours.

not continuously. im not insane.

i was rewarded by a winner. americas next top model. not who i had been cheering for but i didn’t care. it was over. i could finally turn away but when i woke up this morning i was sad. americas next top model wasn’t to be found. tyra and the girls weren’t there to welcome me to give me some sass. id been cut off like a junkie at an intervention.

so i sought out the today show. tha merideth and ann are always there for me. im sure this slip to the dark side of television wont happen again. ill go back to my shows. i cant get addicted to yet another show. i have too many already.

unless a certain grrr. eat. guy happens to want to watch it with me. and who ill whisper seductively to ‘do you wanna be on top?’ grrr.
