HNT Pilot
In three plus years of blogging, I have never tried the HNT (Half-Nekkid Thursday) thing that is very popular in the blog world.
Apparently hundreds of people around the blogosphere do regular Thursday posts that feature a photo of some part of themselves that is not covered by clothing. (Nekkid doesn’t have to be nude).
If I understand it right, it’s supposed to a close-up or tight shot and sort of artsy in nature. But, by no means a full body or face shot (unless it’s like a cheekbone or neckline or something like that).
RJ has been trying out some more artsy photography in the past few months and it’s stuff that really doesn’t fit what folks are probably looking for on my other side of the web. And the other stuff doesn’t really fit in with the blog.
So, I thought this could be a way to show some of the stuff we have done in photo shoots.
Hence, my first (pilot) HNT post.
Like with the Hump Day posts, you can click on the picture to see the full shot. But even the full shot is only a partial. Don’t expect to see nekkid pecker.
Not on the blog.
For that, you have to go to the other side.

Tony, as you know, I am a photographer, and I have to say that the cropped photo and the full photo are amazing (i.e., the lighting, composition, and of course you). RJ and you should be proud of this photo. I can’t wait to see the others over time.

Plain and simple… thank you for making my day. Say what you will for or against and practice, but I wish ALL OTHERS, would take your lead and post something that’s actually sensual over the overtly sexual.
That shoulder blade/nostril/lower lip get to me more than a stiff one. Add to that the photographers skill with the lighting… the crop was better than the full.
I’ve never done a self potrait, but check me out, I combine Tuesday thru Thursday and feel i give my veiwers a treat.

Well done. I’ve seen you on both sides of the web and appreciate each for what it says about you.
We’ve done a different HNT site for the past 3 years in the recovery community, but it is dying out for lack of participation. Oh well.
