Nesting Coop

I’m late getting the word out, but today is a special day for one of my blog buddies. Cooper is not only celebrating the day of his birth, but celebrating the birth of his little family.

The official adoption of his two sons coincides with his 26th birthday. I couldn’t imagine raising one kid at 32, let alone 2 when I was 26. (And by myself.)

He adopted them both because he couldn’t bear the thought of seeing the boys (who are actual brothers) separated.

But that’s Cooper. A wonderfully sweet young man who flinches at nothing and takes on whatever he sets his mind to full force. Besides being young and cute, he’s a great writer, a sensitive soul, a good cook, he renovated his house himself, he’s a firefighter, and now…a mommy. I say mommy with affection because he is a nester and has a very maternal nature.

Please take a moment to stop by his blog and send him and his boys some love.

(By “his boys,” I mean his children. Not his meat and two veg…although I’m sure a bunch of you wouldn’t mind showin’ them some love, too.)

Tony, thanks for sharing this amazing news about a wonderful caring young man (Cooper). I wish him the best at fatherhood (and motherhood). At 26, to be thinking about and caring enough to adopt two boys is just a testament to the type of person he is. I wish him and the boys all the best.

Thanks so much for this, Tony. What an amazing guy you are. You know, of course, that I’ve been a little bit in love with you for a long time… no wonder, eh! ;)
