I have the expansion packs and get re-addicted from time to time. Yes, you need to monitor your time because 8 hours in real world time will pass and it will be 8 weeks in Sim World. I do was a major builder to the point where I needed more memory from over building each town. I have found a new obsession now it is called "Secondlife.com" Its for free and is a great deal of fun to keep your ass nice and flat.
