Dreamboy Dreamgirl
I’m not so much about guys in dresses, but Jake and Dreamgirls…it’s like the opening was written just for me. If he had broken into “Rocky Top” and started clogging, I couldn’t have been more sure of it. He was actually pretty funny in some of the skits. At least as funny as you could be in some of the skits. And the skit about the acting school? all I can say is the boy looks damn good in a tight t-shirt and tight jeans.
Jake, I’m telling you I’m not going, either. And you…and you…any you…I’m gonna love youuuu. All night long and into next Wednesday.
NOTE: The shorter version was removed from YouTube. So this is the full opening.
NOTE#2: The replacement video was removed from YouTube as well. Luckily, I stumbled on a working version at Live Motion via About A Boy And His Briefs.

I watched this thanks to your post about it reminding me. It was pretty funny. Though honestly I didn’t know hardly any of the cast.

A guy in a dress - always a crowd pleaser!

I tuned in too. Loved his performance, but now I remember why I don’t watch SNL anymore.

I think you should run a contest and the winner gets to play Jake with you for a day…. or “All night long and into next Wednesday.”

Rocky Top and clogging? I am now very afraid.

I watched this..mostly so I would know what the hell it is that you would be talking about…LOL I typically don’t watch SNL. I was so embarrassed for him. I couldn’t look at him through some of that skit. Was funny though. I thought….. Hell to the no, he isn’t singing in a dress. Although I guess Jake has a black girl hiding inside of him too… LOL

You’ve got to give Jake props for doing that opening skit. It was just plain over the top outrageous. The man just had fun with it. My appreciation continues to grow.

Did you see those “big guns” attached to Jake’s arms!? He certainly has courage to have tackled that skit. Makes me think he might even “tackle” YOU!
I’ll yell “TIMBER!” when YOU fall.

I’m saying he seemed all too comfortable doing that. Is anyone that good of an actor?
(i feel tony burning holes into me as he reads this)

Tony….In the immortal words of Gomer Pyle…Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya! I missed SNL the night that Jake was the host and had not thought to check You Tube for some cclkps of the show.
You brought a huge laugh to this fan of yours ( and Jakes) in good ole Murfreesboro Tennessee. And as for the comment from Brian…He needs to get his ass to Tennessee and experience a Tennessee football game and he will know what Rocky Top will do for the soul, and I ain’t talking about the bottoms of the feet!
Clog On!
