Hmmm... you know, I never really saw you as the big hunky moving guy or the major manual labor kind of guy.. sure, you're definitely an industrial, blue collared kind of guy (which I find to be VERY hot).. but I think... maybe it was because you were very introspective at the time when I first started reading your blog... but I find you to be a sincere romantic first and foremost... private and intimate...

Hehehe I can't really explain it, but that's just the feeling I get... :)

you just have to list the pros and cons....

pros of painting....walking by a ladder and looking up realizing your coworker is freeballing....con of painting....the fumes are gonna do things to your brain.

pros of UPS...you're gonna look damn good in uniform, and always have tan legs. work alone..but always in a rush. cons....having to get up so damn early....do they have airconditioning in their trucks?

*chill* Just the thought of those legs and that body in the classic brown of a UPS driver. Gives me chills. I'd make sure to order something every day if you were my UPS man. ;)

...am I the only one still pondering "Antonia, the one who lifts heavy things"?
I'd do that job if I could, I would, really! I rather envy you the freedom (I'm a city-rat and have never learned to drive!)
It all sound healthy uncomplicated fun and you get to be the guest-star in everyone's daily
sitcom; courier deliveries certainly brighten up my fantasy daydreams while leaving me feeling cheap, slightly sullied and mildly ashamed... if I'm lucky.

UPS doesn't sound like that bad of a gig... you get to lift heavy things... and you'd be wearing short shorts. ;)

Plus, it really does give you the excuse to use lines like 'deliver your package'... who knows, it'd at least be fun for a bit.

Having done my share of painting, it IS manual labor. It also builds endurance. There is nothing wrong w/being a painter or a UPS driver. It's an honest living. And that is rare thing in this day and age.

Besides, the idea of you showing up w/a big package for me has my brain working overtime.

It didn't pay very much but the job I loved the most was checking groceries when I was younger. I loved it! Not a career choice but that didn't take any of the enjoyment out of it for me.

From what I've been told, UPS and FedEx people make a nice wage and have good benefits, so maybe that would be a plus.

Don't undervalue dreams. I know I may sound like a nut, but I have had some very important ones myself. Sounds like a great opportunity. You work by yourself; yet meet a lot of folks. Carry lots of dog biscuits, my dogs will not let the UPS guy leave until they score cookies. One even jumps right into the truck. New drivers tend to look jumpy until they understand this. (They are German shepherd dogs.)
