But seriously, I’m so happy to read this and that someone told you to your face (which is a lot more effective than someone miles away behind a computer screen) that you need to get out more and be more sociable; show what you have to offer. Like my friend told me - if you’re going to learn to interact with other men you’ll have to be able to accept that it can be a bloody walk and often painful, but the growth you’ll experience through it is worth it in the end. And once you cross that hurdle, you’ll move on to intimacy and being vulnerable to hurt, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m so happy that you’ve reported growth and that (I assume) you’ll begin working on it to some degree. Yay! And for the record (as you’ve heard here before SO MANY TIMES), on paper you seem like a good match for a boyfriend and a husband. You have layers and offer more than just your “blessing” and that is many levels above just being cool. Keep growing!

I would say your physical presence is intimidating, I would be staring at your handsomeness from across the room but would think this guy is going to mash my face if I talk to him. Now…MUSHING the face [kissing] is a good thing, mashing is not. Isn’t it funny how you’ve marketed your ‘assets’ and still you’re this shy guy, who minds his manners and gives a guy his space. Do you feel like this is the first time you’ve heard this message? Sometimes it takes a beautiful self-confident black woman to tell someone what others have been saying for years. But no matter… God has a tendency to broadcast on various channels until he finds the one our thick skulls are tuned to.

As for the writing, this one needs to be nominated for some sort of blogging award. There have got to be some awards like that by now. Amazing work.
