Water Blogged

That Ivan is one big-assed storm. Here I sit at least 8 hours from the Alabama Gulf Coast, yet about the same time the eye of the hurricane hit down there, the rain started up here. And it hasn’t stopped. And now that Ivan has made landfall and is working is way through the southeast, it’s just getting heavier. Found out last night the leak repair in the bathroom last week didn’t take and no one will come out to fix it until after the rain has stopped…which is supposed to be some time on Sunday.

That means rain for the big Tennessee-Florida game Saturday night. I think I’m gonna end up staying at home and watching it on TV. I just can’t bring myself to sit in pouring rain for fours hours on purpose…especially pressed up against some rabid howling fan in a sopping wet orange “Gator Hater” t-shirt which is clinging like latex to his beer gut and jiggling man-tits. Not bouncing pecs….jiggling man-tits. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I mean.

Besides, its would doubly suck to be sitting there like a wet dog if we are losing the game. Not saying we are gonna lose. But by all predictions, its going to be a close one. It’s always like that with Florida most of the games against them in the last 10 years have been decided by 2-3 points.

Those close games also make me sqeamish. My stomach literally starts doing flips flops the last minutes of a close game that could go either way. And don’t let there be overtime. A few years ago, the NCAA eliminated tie games in college football, so there has to be overtime play UNTIL SOMEONE WINS. Each team gets one possession of the ball and a chance to keep possession and score. If neither teams scores or if both do and they remain tied, it goes into a second overtime. And it keeps going until after each team has had its possessions and someone is ahead. We had a game with Auburn (or was it LSU?) 2-3 seasons ago that when into overtime SEVEN times. We finally won it, but prices of Proctor & Gamble shot up from the consumption of Tums. I don’t know if P & G makes Tums. I just picked a company at random…so don;t write me hate mail telling me how wrong I am.

Speaking of consumption, my sinus unfection has move into my chest. Actually its mostly gone now, but I have this obnoxious phlegmy cough that makes it sound like I have TB. I sound horrible, but I actally feel pretty decent…except sorenes in my ribs from coughing.

More on all that later.
