R & R

So holiday weekends are supposed to be relaxing, right? Then why am i so wiped right now. I guess becuase I was up at 6 AM and I have been gong non-stop. With the regular weekend chores, Boomsday on Saturday, the football game on Sunday, plus the usual stuff with Granny. and then her added stuff (her church had a dinner on the green today. DOn’t ask me why they didn;t do it on Sunday).

When coming back from dropping her off, I ran out of gas. Just stupidity. Not paying attention to the needle. The trips back and forth to Knoxville are more driving than I usually do, so I didn’t even think about needing gas. Luckily I saw someone I knew as I was walking to a station. That cut a little time off the ordeal.

And I was supposed to meet a friend in Knoxville this evening. (Third trip to Knox in 3 days. I hardly go that often in a month.) But I couldn;t get a hold of him, so I’m a bit bummed about that.

Now I know why it’s Labor Day. It’s hard work.

running out of gas.. ugghh.. the kindness of strangers would have helped a lot.. be glad ol granny is still doing that dinner thing.. makes your life richer, makes the “slick sheets on the bare ass” better, makes david sedaris that much funnier, makes you into a hell-uv-a interesting guy.. I just spent the weekend in abbeville, louisiana watching cajun’s snag gators from the marsh and rip em to shreds in the processing plant.. strange but true, all of that paired up with the rich white women talking about the “cutest gator tooth earrings that tom ford will be selling soon.” I followed that up with some serious food poisoning from a stop at mcdonalds.. OUT THE FUCKING NOSE!

t.. just fyi.. i left some reading material in the form of a short letter form essay in your email.. dig in..
